No alleyway is empty. There are carts, tents, and makeshift spaces like the one pictured above to buy food and eat and drink. There is no guarantee of cleanliness and maybe even gutter oil is used in some of these establishments. Late night after the bars and clubs close you can find these places still open and serving.

On a wet winter night they can be quite dirty, but the atmosphere is always interesting.
