We carried our own water up the mountain, but there are stopping places where a person can buy water or food. The mountain is very steep and there are extremely narrow places to walk and pass other people, not to mention the steps carved out of the mountain sides.
Everyday the men and women pictured in the photographs climb up and down the mountains carrying food and water. Their pace is slow and steady. The live at the base of the mountain and the mountain with it’s (crazy amount of) tourism is their livelihood.
