In open spaces in Zhengzhou people (mainly women) come out to dance to traditional Chinese music. A friend told me, “only the mothers do this. The grandmothers and the mothers. They come and they take up the whole plaza.”

Although there isn’t a lot of dance in Chinese culture there is this type of dance movement that happens almost every night or morning in varies parts of the city. The women mainly consider it exercise more than dance.
